Location. Hotel Jadran is located in Rijeka, Croatia, directly on the sea, within one kilometre of Rijeka city centre, five kilometres from historical Trsat and 20 kilometres from the coastal resort of Opatija.
Hotel Features. Hotel Jadran was built in 1911 and is an impressive white stone building lapped by the Adriatic. Refurbished in 2005, the bright, contemporary interior reflects the hotel's proximity to the ocean in its sand, earth, white and slate coloured decor, which is complemented by understated, modern furniture. Hotel amenities include room service, and complimentary secure parking. There is also a safe deposit box on the front desk, currency exchange and complimentary, high speed Internet access.
The light and airy Hotel Jadran restaurant opens out onto a decked terrace overlooking the ocean. The restaurant serves Croatian and International dishes. A complimentary buffet breakfast is served each morning.
Guestrooms. There are 69 guestrooms built over six floors featuring contemporary decor in warm, subtle tones complemented by modern wood furniture. All rooms have satellite television, safes, minibars, and complimentary high speed Internet connections.
Expert Tip. Known as the golden island, Krk is easily accessible from the mainland by bridge and is packed with things to do. Head to Malinska and Baska for beaches, Punat for its marina and to Vrbnik for its beauty.

From Rijeka Airport (RJK):
Distance to Hotel Jadran is 20 kilometres, approximately 40 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Airport buses run into Rijeka city centre and cost 20 KN one way. Taxis are available from outside the airport.
Getting around. Orange buses in the city are run by Autotrolej. The central bus stops are at Jela?i?ev trg. They connect all of the major city centre areas with Trsat and other suburbs, plus resorts on the Opatija Riviera and Kvarner coast as well as inland destinations such as Kastav. Tickets can be bought from news kiosks and are valid for two trips. Stamp your ticket on entry to the bus. Tickets bought inside the bus are valid for one trip on any city route. Local ferries (trajektne linije) and passenger boats (brodske linije) run from Rijeka to the surrounding islands. Rijeka has a handful of reasonably priced minicab firms. There are taxi ranks outside the main train station, the coach station (also handy for the ferry) and on Matije Gupca, near the National Theatre.
